Portland Tweed Ride

This weekend I participated in one of my favorite traditions in Portland, the annual Tweed Ride.

Starting at Mt Tabor Park, we chased a fox, wound to Wilshire Park, and ended at Velo Cult. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Believe it or not, the weather behaved, except for a minor downpour just before the ride stared. After a damp, breezy ride through town, it was great to get a free pint of Ninkasi!

Thanks to everyone who planned the ride!

Spring Time!

The first day of spring is this week, and it couldn’t have come too soon. It’s finally warm enough to start working in the yard.

Hazelnut Shells

Over the weekend I picked up some hazelnut shells to spread in our flower beds. What have you been hauling on your bike now that the weather is improving?
